Questions about AI agents and the API

Do I need a developer?

No. If your team uses Claude, ChatGPT or an AI teammate like Viktor, you connect BetterReviews once with an API key or a connector URL and then just ask in plain English. The REST API is there if a developer wants to build their own workflows.

Which AI tools work with it?

Any AI tool that can connect to a remote MCP server, like Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, and any agent or automation that can call a REST API, like Viktor, n8n, Zapier or Make. Claude Code users can also install our skill, which teaches Claude every endpoint.

What can an agent change without me?

Connector URLs for claude.ai and ChatGPT are read-only, and the MCP tools that change anything need a Read & Write key. With a Read & Write key an agent can publish product-page content, but nothing goes live until every section passes our fact check. Every tool call is logged.

Is it safe to connect my reviews?

Each key belongs to one store and is shown once. Connector URLs expire after 90 days and can be revoked any time. The MCP tools never return customers' email addresses (at most a masked hint), every request is rate limited, and every access to review data is logged.

Which plan do I need?

The API, the MCP server and the skill are on every plan, including Free. Over MCP, Free gets top reviews and single reviews; the REST API and the skill also cover moderation, replies, review requests and review groups. Plain-English search, claims, permission requests and product-page content are on Better and Studio.

Can I manage reviews from Claude too?

With Claude Code and our skill, yes: approve or reject reviews, reply to them and send review requests through the API. In claude.ai and ChatGPT the connection is read-only today.
