When you approve a review, BetterReviews adds it to the customer's Klaviyo profile with the rating, the product, any photos, and two AI signals: how detailed and useful the review is, and how well it would work as marketing.

Which plan do I need?
Any plan, including Free.
How do I connect Klaviyo?
Create a private API key in Klaviyo (Settings → API keys) with these permissions: Events full, Profiles full, Metrics read, Campaigns read and Data privacy full. Paste it into BetterReviews under Settings → Integrations. We check it with Klaviyo before saving it, and store it encrypted.
When does a review reach Klaviyo?
When it's approved, usually within a minute or two. Reviews waiting for approval don't send anything yet.
Which reviews send an event?
Reviews collected through BetterReviews with a customer email. Reviews you import from another app don't, so switching won't flood your flows.
What exactly is on the event and the profile?
Events carry the rating, title, review text, reviewer name, product (name, ID and link), sentiment, verified buyer, photos and photo count, quality score (1 to 10) and marketing potential (low, medium or high). Profiles get betterreviews_review_count, betterreviews_last_review_score, betterreviews_last_review_date, betterreviews_last_review_sentiment, betterreviews_is_photo_reviewer and betterreviews_avg_quality_score. The setup guide lists every field and flow recipe.
Will this subscribe customers to my marketing?
No. Events and profile updates never change marketing consent. Klaviyo's own settings still decide who gets your emails, and customers on our suppression list are skipped.
Can I send review requests through Klaviyo?
Not yet, it's coming soon. Today BetterReviews sends review requests itself.
